EU Member to EGF Member Transition

The journey from student to graduate is both thrilling and challenging. This pivotal stage often comes with new responsibilities, uncharted paths, and the need for a steady hand to guide the way. The ICEU Sr. Advisor along with EGF becomes a steadfast anchor during this season of change, offering spiritual guidance, emotional support, and a sense of community. It is within this nurture that the students who have passion for student ministry find clarity and confidence to navigate this significant EU member to EGF member transition (EET).

The journey from student to graduate is already a life-changing experience, but when combined with crossing cultural and linguistic boundaries, it becomes an even more complex adventure with barriers, misunderstandings, and feelings of isolation. In these moments, a mentor serves as a steady bridge, providing invaluable guidance and helping students navigate the unknown. The Apostle Paul exhorts the Church in one of the metro cities of his time, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you (Rom 15:7).” The Local EGF has to stand as a welcoming community where individuals can find belonging amid unfamiliar surroundings.

The month of April is an EU-to-EGF Transition (EET) month. NEGF released an E-booklet with detailed information. Kindly check the E-booklet for best practices, recommendations, and the role of local, state and national teams. Join EET awareness webinars organised by NEGF EET Cell.

State EC and State EGF departments have to facilitate this EET work through a person or team to ensure fresh graduates from within the state as well as other states ensuring that they are contacted and connected to EGF fellowship.

EET has been a major concern in UESI and discussed in key national platforms. Check the EET status during the past 3 years in the bar chart given here. Is it not alarming?

We request the States to conduct webinars in your vernacular languages for awareness and prayerful action. Let us empower the fresh graduates to embrace their calling to student ministry by joining the EGF wherever they go.

May God bless all our EET efforts to leave a lasting imprint on the lives they touch, the future of UESI.
