UESI – Karnataka organized a 2-day training session for all the treasurers of all EUs and EGFs of Karnataka, on 1st & 2nd Feb 2020 at the Students Centre at Doddagubbi in Bangalore. The resource persons were from the UESI Finance and Administrative Department.
Treasurer’s from EUs and EGFs from across the state were present along with other office bearers respectively. Training Session was started on Saturday 1st with the Key note address/ Devotion by Treasurer.
The following sessions were handled by the resource personnel: Understanding the Law that governs the societies, Stewardship Principles and Case studies, Legal compliance in the changing context, Role of Treasures’ based on UESI hand book, Integration, Consolidation and Centralization of accounts and Acc. Formation, Auditors Observations, National concerns and concluding message.
The sessions were chaired by the UESI – K EC members especially, State EC President, State Treasurer, Sunday Morning Devotion was taken by State Secretary.
The training sessions were very interactive, informative and enlightening. Many who had attended were quiet young and in need of much mentoring and teaching in the maintaining local finances.
Many areas in handling finances, keeping the records update and submission of financial statements to the state office were highlighted. Also, the challenges faced by the national admin office, in integration consolidation and centralization of accounts all state reports and accounting formalities was highlighted.
