UESI ODISHA MISSION CONFERENCE

Gopalpur-on-sea, a beach resort and tourist destination provided a beautiful venue for the Mission Conference 8-11 October, 2016. There were one hundred and twenty six participants excluding children. Another twenty five delegates visited the conference. The Lord is moving in our land and has revived us to reach out to the unreached campuses. Under the leadership of Bro. Kuber Parichha, the organizing committee coordinated the conference very well.
The keynote address by Siddhartha Sahu and Sushanta Patra set us in a spirit of obedience to the
great commission of Christ. Worship with melodious music led by different regional groups prepared
every heart to receive the challenging Mission Bible expositions by Bro. Shailesh Amin from IEM Ahmedabad, Gujarat, that came loud with a great claim of Jesus’ authority, a great commission to go and make disciples and with a great promise of His unfailing presence.
The World Survey, 10/40 windows and India Survey opened our eyes to God’s doing in the world and led
us to obey Him. The Plenary Sessions on “Integral Mission” and “Students Ministry” burdened our hearts for the student ministry. The seminars challenged the participants to consider mission as a career. The testimonies by staff of Asha Kiran Hospital & UESI Staff inspired all the delegates.
The Book Stall, State & regional information and statistics added colour to the conference. The Field Ministry Focus by all the staff highly motivated the participants to pray and reach out to their friends on campuses. Praise God for 24 missionary commitments, out of which 7 were as full time, 4 as tent makers 2 as missionary students and 11 as mission mobilizers.
Some of the feedbacks from the participants are, “I have decided to be a full time missionary; I need a
spiritual leader who will guide me and pray for me.” – Amiya Kumar Kaunri, Angul EU.
“I want to be a tent maker; I would like to read and share missionary biography to my EU/EGF members.”
– Kalyani Meher, Umerkot.
“As Jesus Christ has done the mission work … I want to be a missionary student.” – Mohan Nayak
Behrampur EU.
Praise God for meeting all our conference needs.
Sushil Kumar Nayak, State Secretary, UESI
