“UESI FIS Trainers Training” was held at Don Bosco Centre, Hyderabad from 24th to 26th August 2018.

This program was unique and organized to understand cross cultural mission and give a thrust to FIS ministry. It was helpful to enable envision and equip our students, graduates and staff to effectively minister to the International Students. The training was focused on cross cultural aspects of the International Student Ministry. Following topics were covered:

Importance of Love and Friendship, led by Abel Moses. The 2 main keywords were Kingdom and Compassion.

Cross Cultural Understanding:With discussions and activities ithelped the delegates get a deeper understanding of the topic.

Cross cultural/personal evangelism: We focused on prayer and learnt how it is important to be constantly praying for the non-believing International Students.

How to Continue Spiritual Conversation: A session through live examples on how you can tackle various issues such as relationships, addictions, anxiety, etc. while talking to students/friends.

We also learnt how to start and continue conversation and how to mentor/disciple a new convert. We were reminded it’s not about the steps or the techniques but genuine love for people and a humble trust in the power of God the Holy Spirit that matters. We were also blessed to have Mr. Gurubabu Balaraman and Mr. Gaddam Sudheer Kumar who took devotions throughout the camp.

The local arrangement was impeccable, a special thanks to UESI Telangana State and particularly the Hyderabad graduates team. We could experience the presence of God throughout the program. There were a number of challenges and hurdles we faced before and during the Training. But the one who is in us is greater than the one in the world today. The Lord our Provider took care of all the needs and we closed the training with a surplus.
