The torch of UESI ministry was lit in Tamil Nadu in 1954 and the flame spread across the nation in the span of the past six decades. It was Tamilnadu Evangelical Graduates Fellowship which has served as role model in this area to other states from its formation in 1967. We recalled the decision of the leaders of TNEGF and UESI to decentralize Tamil Nadu in 1977, which facilitated the ministry to take a new turn. The contribution of TNEGF to students’ ministry has increased because of this thinking. Now, by His immense grace, TNEGF has completed 50 years of service to the student community, graduates and nation at large.

To give thanks to the Lord for 50 years of His grace and guidance to this fellowship and to look forward toward the future, the Golden Jubilee Conference was held at Bishop Heber College Trichy during 11-13 May 2018 with a theme “Press On With Passion –Phil. 3:12-14. About 500 Graduates, students, staff and children participated in the Conference.

Bro Valentine Davidar led the morning Bible Expositions and the Mr. James Ratnaraj led the evening devotions. Dr. Christopher and team from CEF led special sessions for children and Mr. John Sakthivel lead the teens sessions. Ministerial overview in the 7 regions of TN was presented by regional leaders. Seminars for different age groups on “Passionate Life Style” and “Passionate Ministry and Mission Involvement” were led by a team of panelists. It was a great to joy to have our National GS, Mr. Saji Easo, NEGF Chairman Mr. KV Christudas and former UESI President Mr. JSA Julius with us. It was a real celebration to hear from the former presidents of UESI-TN and the State Secretaries who recalled the faithfulness of our Lord and encouraged the TNEGF family to Press on with Passion. A souvenir for the occasion covering the history and experiences and counsels of our leaders was also released.
The participants took the pledge to “press on with passion”.
