An Evangelism workshop was held in Patna, Bihar during 24- 25 August 2019. Total number of participants were 29, out of which 12 were students, 10 Graduates along with 2 staff families and 5 coordinators, all from nine different districts of the state.
Bro. Tapan Kumar Singh welcomed and oriented us about the workshop. He emphasized on the success and challenges of personal evangelism and the irreplaceable strength of prayer. Bro. Arpit Khristmukti led our attention to the details of the first aim of UESI and underlined the importance of personal evangelism among students. Bro. Rajesh Agarwal gave clarity on teachings of other religions, sects and cults in our country. He also illustrated attitudes of apostles in Acts and Paul’s approach, thus refining participants’ understanding and equipping them for Evangelism. Bro. Mohammed J’s messages on basic beliefs of neighbours clarified many students’ doubts and upgraded their knowledge.
We decided to name close friends with whom we can share the good news by March 2020. 5th September 2019 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm (skipping the dinner) was declared as state fasting prayer time for evangelism throughout the State. All the EU and EGF’s would form small evangelism prayer groups to pray regularly for students (1 Graduate and 3 students). We would have at least one motivational Bible Study on Evangelism by December 2019 and also short evangelism workshops like this locally by March 2020.
As Bihar EGF family we would like to thank Evangelism Cell of UESI for conducting this workshop in Patna and also Bro. Arpit for his initiative and directing this event successfully.
