It was a God given privilege to be part of CMTC 2018 K3 from 12th to 26th of July at the Highfield displaying nature’s soothing embrace.Apart from our dream as a student to visit Highfield atleast once in our student days getting fulfilled, we experienced God’s whisper in the quiet woods. We were also excited inmeeting students from across our nationwith the same passion.
Bro. Rajesh George’s keynote, welcome address and later a brief testimony of the participantswere really good starters. Sis. Sisanna briefed on how to have our quiet time. We served together as one family in different groups called Ambassadors, Conquerors, Defenders and Explorers.
The doctrinal sessions were handled by bro. Jim as lively as football and bro. Rajesh as a friend making us think deep. We remember Sarah akka and Anji bhaiya the couple known for creativity giving us assignments on PBS and GBS. Though we felt to be a little tough, we could see the skill learnt helping us so greatly in taking up Bible studies. Young and enthusiastic Santhosh Anna taught us organizational matters from UESI Handbook helping us feel privileged to be part of UESI.
Bro. Shashi Shetty handled practical talks relating to our campus life.We had the privilegeto hear from Uncle LT who made us think as Christian students and challenged us to excel as the ones called by God. Uncle Aaboo Varghese taught us on love, marriage, sex, etc.,Sis. Patricia taught Personal Evangelism very creatively.
We remember the devotions by George Thomas uncle to be a servant leader and to be example in campuses. Abu uncle handled Bible expositions on how to guard, suffer, continue and communicate the gospel based on 2nd Timothy. We learnt the importance of team work and much more from creative time games and activities in 2/2.
One Sunday weprayed for concerns shared by respective ICEUs and the second Sunday we observed quiet day, meditating on God’s word listening to His voice. We entertained and introduced the reason behind our joy, i.e. Jesus, to the schoolers in Kotagiri Public School. We had a fun-filled outing to Coonoor and Ooty, visiting parks, botanical garden and an exciting toy train ride. We had a bonfire out in the open with meaningful time of fellowship and dinner on the last night.
On the final day we had a time of sharingour experiences and our commitments. We thank all the seniors for their deep love and the core team who invested their time on us.
