24 May to 8 June have been marked in golden letters in the lives of 32 delegates (30 from 10 states & 2 from a neighbouring country) who were equipped through CMTC in Shillong. The venue, Nichols Roy Bible College, full of scenic beauty with its serenity helped the campers hear God’s voice crystal clear.
Their learnings include – Art of Bible Studies, doctrines, organizational matters, campus witnessing, purity in relationships, boldness to profess, etc., Campers testified that the sessions enabled them understand the need &seriousness of serving God among the students and prepared them for the same.
Reading of The Following Master and enacting the life of Prof. Enoch in groups were truly incredible. The 2/2 sharing and informal time with the resource people and core team members were big incentives to the campers. They cherish those times!
All the campers made firm commitments to grow deeper in the Word, witness vibrantly, rightly use the social media, leave a legacy, raise successors in ICEUs, and leave the cocoon of comforts to suffer for the Gospel, etc. Every camper personally underwent what is meant to be fashioned by the Master’s hand. Many who were like timid Timothy blossoming in boldness like Nehemiah and Stephen during the camp. It is overwhelming to see 10 students committed for full time ministry.
On picnic day, visit to Cherrapunjee, was a lifetime experience. As the campers neared spot, the thick fog that surrounded them for a very long distance slipped away, paving way for them to be awestruck by the gorgeous view of God’s massive masterpiece. Then walking long, along the streams within Arwah Caves was a spectacular experience.
The quiet day, first of its kind to most, marked by solitude of reflection and internalization of the lessons turned out to be another boon.
Camp witnessed the power of prayer as a host of prayer warriors, volunteered to pray from 1 March to 12 June. Despite curfew in Shillong, camp hardly had any impact of it. The flow of finance was more than the need and the camp concluded with a good surplus. Heartfelt thanks to our friends from across the globe who joyfully invested (time & resources) in these young leaders.
Thanks to Issac (Mizoram), Jobin (TN), Anubhuti (Jharkhand), Aron (WB), & Christina (Meghalaya) for contributing to this write-up.
All the campers need our constant prayers as they act on their decisions and to continue the year-long follow-up programme.
